Spiritual Strength Training

Sometimes life’s problems can cause us to become lethargic just like the continuous consumption of junk food. When you don’t get enough of the right foods, your body will definitely let you know that you ate the wrong food or need to increase your daily intake of healthy food if you’re already health conscious.

Many people spend time in the gym working out to gain their desired physique. A rigorous gym exercise routine and a healthy diet will typically help you achieve your goal if you’re dedicated to your program. While this is a good route to take when you want to look your best physically, your mind also needs a little strengthening to help you stay focused on your goals.

If you need a boost of mental strength, but don’t have time to search the Bible extensively, here are a few verses outlined in the A Summons for Champion Strength book. These verses will help recharge your thinking and get you motivated to handle your life challenges successfully. Just as a strong body helps you ward off many illnesses and speeds up the recovery process if you’ve been injured, a spiritual mental workout can help ward off negative thoughts about yourself or your situations. You may not be able to change your work or home environment, but you can change your mindset. It’s easy to get distracted by various obstacles or negative comments, but if you have a few minutes each day to speak these verses, you’ll not only inspire yourself, but others as well. Take the Daily Scripture Fitness Plan challenge today and see how better you feel throughout the day.

•  Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days so shall thy strength be (Deuteronomy 33:25).

• God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect (II Samuel 22:33).

• But thou, O LORD art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head (Psalm 3:3).

• Hold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps slip not (Psalm 17:5).

• He maketh my feet like hinds’ feet, and setteth me upon my high places (Psalm 18:33).

• The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace (Psalm 29:11).

• Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD (Psalm 31:24).

• I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help (Psalm 121:1).

• My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth (Psalm 121:12).

• Finally, my brethern, be strong in the Lord,  and in the power of his might (Ephesians 6:10).

• Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11).

• I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me (Philippians 4:13).

• Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth (Colossians 3:2).
